Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lacee Easter was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Alwxis Harless was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Felicity-Franklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 12.4.
Meanwhile, Covington hadn't done well against Fort Loramie recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Buccs walked away with a 6-2 win over the Redskins.
Whitney Burns spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elizabeth Coblentz, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Taylor Foutz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Covington is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Felicity-Franklin, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-12.
