The Bishop Eustace Prep Crusaders''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They snuck past Lindenwold with a 32-28 victory. Bishop Eustace Prep's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
Bishop Eustace Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mekhi Simmons out in front who rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Simmons was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards. Bishop Eustace Prep also got a significant boost from Terrence Goffney, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
Bishop Eustace Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Lindenwold, their loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Bishop Eustace Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Collingswood at 11:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Lindenwold does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
