McDermitt have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will take on Independence at 2:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Things haven't been easy for McDermitt, and their game last Saturday only extended their streak of losses to five. They took a serious blow against Carlin last Saturday, falling 18-54. The state rankings had actually given McDermitt a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Independence lost to Eureka, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 12-52. Independence were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-44.
McDermitt took a serious blow against Independence the last time the two teams met, falling 27-73. Can McDermitt avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
