Truckee came tearing into Wednesday's contest with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Incline Highlanders 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2021.
Truckee's got stronger as the match went on, holding Incline to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-14.
Madison Mclellan paced Truckee's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mclellan got some help from Makenna Hogland and her 26 assists. Mclellan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Incline lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was TAYLOR FINNE, who had 25 assists and eight digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last five games she's played. LILI MORRISON was another key player, getting ten digs.
Truckee's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Incline, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6.
