The Hapeville Charter Hornets will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Westminster Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Hapeville Charter didn't have too much trouble with Clarkston at home as they won 60-42. The victory was just what Hapeville Charter needed coming off of a 74-27 loss in their prior match.
Hapeville Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janiah Murray, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Murray has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Khalilah Tucker was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Westminster scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Clarkston, posting a 78-19 win on the road. Westminster has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 28 points or more this season.
Hapeville Charter pushed their record up to 6-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Westminster, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
