Basketball Recap: Eddie Riebe Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat St. John's Northwestern Military Academy

Heritage Christian won the last time they faced St. John's Northwestern Military Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Heritage Christian Patriots secured a 72-66 W over the St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Lancers.

Heritage Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eddie Riebe, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 20 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, Riebe now owns an excellent 40.2% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Karcher, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mamadou N'Diaye, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. The game was N'Diaye's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Wesley Chapman, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards.

Heritage Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Heritage Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 75-72 win against Messmer on the 18th. As for St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 79-57 victory against Kenosha Christian Life on the 17th.
