It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bryan County Redskins had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by East Laurens at home to the tune of 55-14. Considering Bryan County has won seven contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jacari Carney went supernova for Bryan County, rushing for 188 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. Austin Clemons was another key contributor, rushing for 98 yards on only nine carries.
The victory (which was Bryan County's sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.7 points per game. As for East Laurens, they bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bryan County will stay at home for another week and welcome Pelham at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. The pair might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games. East Laurens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
