The Marathon Olympians gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against Bainbridge-Guilford by a score of 53-41.
Bainbridge-Guilford's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayslin Henderson, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Victoria Suda, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds.
Marathon's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marathon will take on Newfield at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Deposit-Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
