San Rafael is 1-9 against Archie Williams since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The San Rafael Bulldogs will be staying on the road to face off against the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. San Rafael knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Archie Williams likes a good challenge.
San Rafael pushed their score all the way to 69 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Terra Linda by a score of 71-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (63), San Rafael still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Archie Williams on the road against Healdsburg on Saturday as the team secured a 66-19 victory. Given Archie Williams' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Healdsburg is ranked 1049th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brian Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Wright is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Ephraim Sohn was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
San Rafael's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Archie Williams, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
San Rafael didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Archie Williams in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Rafael since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
