It was a good run, but the Christian Community Colts unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 18-17 to Franklin Road Christian. Christian Community was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Franklin Road Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on Friday.
Despite the loss, Christian Community saw an underclassman step up: A.C. Caverly scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was M.J. Dodd, who scored 2 points along with 7 rebounds.
Franklin Road Christian can attribute much of their success to Karis Moore, who scored 9 points.
Christian Community's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Franklin Road Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Community will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against South Haven Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (South Haven Christian is ranked 156th, while Christian Community is ranked 165th). As for Franklin Road Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Baptist at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
