The Ceiba College Preparatory Academy Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kirby Prep. Ceiba College Preparatory Academy has not had much luck with Kirby Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kirby Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Lively, who scored 25 points. The game was Lively's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Rain Li was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Ceiba College Preparatory Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-6. As for Kirby Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ceiba College Preparatory Academy will take on Pacific Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pacific Collegiate has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Kirby Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Apostles Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Jeremy Bork and Lively.
