The Bishop Manogue Miners will look to defend their home field on Friday against the McQueen Lancers at 6:00 p.m. Bishop Manogue has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 297 points over their last seven contests.
Bishop Manogue stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 45-18 win over Damonte Ranch at home. Given Bishop Manogue's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Damonte Ranch is ranked 26th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bishop Manogue's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cody Fleischmann, who rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Fleischmann hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Philip Jacobs, who threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes.
Meanwhile, McQueen didn't have too much trouble with Reno on the road on Thursday as they won 21-6.
Carl "Tre" LaGrone III and Nason Rodriguez were among the main playmakers for McQueen as the former rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. McQueen also got a significant boost from Lorenzo Tabua, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.
Bishop Manogue's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.3 points per game. As for McQueen, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
