The Bourne Canalmen will venture away from home to square off against the Seekonk Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Bourne will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Bourne is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Wareham a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Cam Polczwartek made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with four runs and two RBI. He has become a key player for Bourne: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-11 otherwise.
In other batting news, Luca Finton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Griffin Kelly also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Bourne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Seekonk made sure to put some runs up on the board against Old Rochester Regional on Wednesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-2 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
The team relied heavily on Austin Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Payne, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Seekonk now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Bourne, their record is now 3-11.
Bourne suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to Seekonk in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Canalmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
