Liberty has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Freedom Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Liberty was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 32-31 to Osceola.
Meanwhile, Freedom didn't have too much trouble with Lake Brantley at home on Friday as they won 46-29. The win was just what Freedom needed coming off of a 60-27 defeat in their prior game.
Liberty's defeat was their 16th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.9 points per game. As for Freedom, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14.
Things could have been worse for Liberty, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-23 loss to Freedom in their previous matchup back in December of 2016. Can Liberty avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
