Volleyball Recap: South Newton Comes Up Short

South Newton saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Rossville Hornets.

Despite the loss, South Newton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Briley Iseminger had ten digs. Iseminger has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Rossville can attribute much of their success to Cassie Schoon, who had 13 digs and one assist.

South Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Rossville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, South Newton and Rossville will both be playing Faith Christian the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rebels will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
