Sumner had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Freedom.
Sumner has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record this season. As for Freedom, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-7.
Sumner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Freedom also has no future games currently scheduled.
