Everett is 0-10 against the Trojans since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Everett Vikings will be staying on the road to face off against the East Lansing Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Everett comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Everett had to suffer through a rough 52-15 loss at the hands of the Wolves.
Meanwhile, East Lansing waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Grand Ledge 64-50. Given East Lansing's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Comets are ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for East Lansing, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Everett was taken down by the Trojans 60-6 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Everett avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
