The Throckmorton Greyhounds lost against the Paducah Dragons back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Throckmorton took a serious blow against Paducah, falling 45-8. Throckmorton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-4.
Jakyen Wright was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with 8 rebounds for Paducah. The match was Wright's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Mackey, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Throckmorton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Paducah, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Throckmorton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richland Springs at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Paducah, they will square off against Rule at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
