After losing to the Damascus Hornets the last time they met, the Paint Branch Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Paint Branch simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Damascus 77-36 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-16.
Paint Branch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Lee, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Ryan Tientcheu was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Paint Branch and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Damascus, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-1.
Paint Branch will take on Einstein at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Damascus, they will head out on the road to face off against Walter Johnson at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
