The Perry Panthers will play host again  on Friday to welcome the Ware County Gators, where kickoff is scheduled  at 7:30  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Last Monday, Perry took their  match at home  with ease, bagging  a  56-7 win over Wayne County. While fans of the Panthers might be used to big wins, the 49-point margin marked the team's biggest one yet.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Ahmad Gordon, who rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of  Decorrion Daniels, who gained 84 total yards and a touchdown.
 Ware County never got on the board in their matchup back in September, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Benedictine last Friday. They were the clear victor by  a  38-14 margin over the Cadets.
  Jamir Boyd was the offensive standout of the  game as he rushed for 144 yards.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Ware County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 253  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Perry has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record  this season. As for Ware County,  the  victory  got them back to even at 3-3.
