On Wednesday, Vista PEAK Prep made easy work of Campbell Hall and carried off a 52-31 victory. Given Vista PEAK Prep's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 68th in Colorado, while Campbell Hall is ranked 604th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Vista PEAK Prep found their leader in underclassman Knakai Starks, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Starks scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jade Hibbler, who scored six points.
Vista PEAK Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Campbell Hall, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Vista PEAK Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mountainside at 2:40 p.m. on December 21st. Mountainside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Campbell Hall will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crossroads at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Lulu Chahinian and Lailaa Williams.
