After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grainger, Eagleton College & Career Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rockwood Tigers a 15-0 shutout. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Jayce Simon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Simon was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double. He has become a key player for Eagleton College & Career Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 4-6-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, Eagleton College & Career Academy got a massive performance out of Chase Herman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
