The West Lauderdale Knights and the Terry Bulldogs will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Two weeks ago, West Lauderdale was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-28 to Scott Central. West Lauderdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Terry lost to Starkville on the road by a decisive 38-23 margin on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Terry has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Terry saw an underclassman step up: Madison Jones scored six points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Toniah Watts was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds.
West Lauderdale has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Terry, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
