Several J Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaden Juhnke, who rushed for 50 yards, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Juhnke has posted since back in August of 2023. Jake Cook handled things on the ground, rushing for 82 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Huntley Project can attribute much of their success to Kooper Beard, who picked up 69 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 35 yards. Beard was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 69 yards.
The defeat snapped Joliet's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-2 record. As for Huntley Project, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Joliet will challenge Jefferson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Joliet is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Huntley Project does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
