The Southaven Chargers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Horn Lake with a sharp 31-7 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southaven also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Southaven's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Horn Lake, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-9.
Southaven will face off against Starkville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Starkville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southaven in Mississippi (Starkville is ranked ninth, while Southaven is ranked 72nd). Horn Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
