Wesleyan Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Calvary Day School 86-26 on the road. Wesleyan Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Wesleyan Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashley Browne out in front who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Browne has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Hawley, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, North Raleigh Christian Academy took a serious blow against Quality Education Academy on Saturday, falling 63-34. While losing is never fun, North Raleigh Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Quality Education Academy is ranked 31st).
Wesleyan Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-15.
Wesleyan Christian Academy skirted past North Raleigh Christian Academy 49-47 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Wesleyan Christian Academy repeat their success, or does North Raleigh Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
