The Baker County Wildcats extended their postseason success on Friday against the Yulee Hornets. They took down the Hornets 32-14. The win was familiar territory for Baker County who now have seven in a row.
Benny Lewis was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Seth Chestnut made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Baker County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In that department, Case Foster was the leader with two sacks.
Baker County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Yulee, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
Baker County will head out on the road to face off against Bradford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bradford is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Yulee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
