The Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds are taking a road trip to take on the Central Bucks West Bucks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holy Ghost Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Holy Ghost Prep barely beat William Penn Charter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Firebirds were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Quakers on Tuesday. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Quakers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Holy Ghost Prep got a great performance from Dalton Dydak as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Dydak has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eddie Rosado, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Holy Ghost Prep is undefeated when Rosado posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Keaser, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Central Bucks West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Souderton.
Jacob Greer made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 2-for-4. Colin Lydon also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Central Bucks West's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Holy Ghost Prep, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Central Bucks West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Holy Ghost Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for Central Bucks West, though, as they've only averaged .222. Will they be able to contain Holy Ghost Prep's hitters?
