The Byron Nelson Bobcat's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to V.R. Eaton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Bobcat players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kinsey Morris, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Belle Ratliff was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 15 rebounds and two steals.
Byron Nelson has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 20 of their last 22 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-27 record this season. As for V.R. Eaton, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.
