Jefferson County North has gone a perfect 4-0 against Pleasant Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Chargers will be playing at home against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

The team relied heavily on Kennadi Hernandez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. Emmarie Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Jefferson County North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jackson Heights only posted an OBP of .364.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Ridge got the win against Atchison County last Monday by a conclusive 15-6. Considering the Rams have won six contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Aubrey Gillaspie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Maggie Lance was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Goodson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Pleasant Ridge and bumps their season record up to 6-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Jefferson County North, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Jefferson County North has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. However, it's not like Pleasant Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Jefferson County North took their victory against Pleasant Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 22-12 score. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
