Heritage Christian can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-12 victory over Trinity School of Texas at home. The victory was just what Heritage Christian needed coming off of a 72-35 loss in their prior contest.
Heritage Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Deanna Montgomery, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. Montgomery has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Ali Orchard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, sadly, Poetry Community Christian is still looking for their first win of the season after ten matchups. They took a serious blow against First Baptist on Tuesday, falling 78-3. Poetry Community Christian has struggled against First Baptist recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Heritage Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Poetry Community Christian, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for Heritage Christian against Poetry Community Christian when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 55-3 win.
