The Burlingame Panthers fell victim to the Los Gatos Wildcats''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. Burlingame has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Los Gatos to victory were Hayden Benjamin and Callum Schweitzer. Benjamin rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, while Schweitzer threw for 191 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Benjamin's longest rush was for an incredible 88 yards. Another player making a difference was Beau Musser, who picked up 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Burlingame has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Los Gatos, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlingame will challenge Menlo-Atherton at 4:00 p.m. on October 27th. Menlo-Atherton will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Los Gatos, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilcox at 4:00 p.m. on October 27th.
