When it comes to explaining why Regis Groff lost, one person who can't be blamed is Miguel Morales. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Mahmoud Ibrahim was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Regis Groff's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Denver North, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regis Groff will challenge Denver West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Denver North, they will head out on the road to face off against Vista PEAK Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
