East Marion is 1-0 against Enterprise since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The East Marion Eagles will be playing at home against the Enterprise Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. East Marion has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 25th.
Last Friday, East Marion lost to Resurrection Catholic on the road by a decisive 28-12 margin.
Meanwhile, after only six points in their last game, Enterprise made sure to put some points up on the board against Salem on Friday. Enterprise took down Salem 47-28.
Landon Mcnickles had a dynamite game for Enterprise, rushing for 198 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 103 yards and a touchdown. Mcnickles' longest rush was for an incredible 99 yards. Payton Kyzar was another key contributor, rushing for 74 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
East Marion's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Resurrection Catholic, Sacred Heart, and Collins. As for Enterprise, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 4-4.
Everything came up roses for East Marion against Enterprise when the teams last played back in October of 2014 as the squad secured a 43-0 win. Will East Marion repeat their success, or does Enterprise have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
