The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas in their matchups with Boulder City: they've now lost six in a row.
Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tanner Gorrell, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. It was the first time this season that Gorrell scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Hamilton, who scored 12 points.
Boulder City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sean Pendleton, who scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals. Roman Rose was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Boulder City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas will take on The Meadows School at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Meadows School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas likes a good challenge. As for Boulder City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pahrump Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Boulder City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
