The Bradford Red Devils will head out on the road to challenge the West Carroll War Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bradford got their first taste of in-conference action on Monday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Clarksburg by a score of 7-2. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won four in a row.

Dylan Brauer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jax Richardson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brodie McDaniel, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Carroll). They put the hurt on Humboldt with a sharp 16-1 win on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Sawyer Jackson looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.
At the plate, Cole McMinn was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He also brought in three RBI, which is notable because West Carroll is 2-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 1-10 otherwise. Mason Taylor was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.
West Carroll always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win made it two in a row for West Carroll and bumps their season record up to 3-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Bradford, their record is now 8-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bradford has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Carroll struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bradford beat West Carroll 4-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
