Softball Recap: Fishers Wins Going Away Against Anderson

Fishers won the last time they faced Anderson and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Indians. Considering the Tigers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Azstryd Alexander was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kendall Jordan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Fishers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in four consecutive games.

Fishers' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-10. As for Anderson, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

Coming up, Fishers will welcome Pendleton Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Arabians have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
