Mitchell County was beaten by Randolph-Clay 80-38. Mitchell County has struggled against Randolph-Clay recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Randolph-Clay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Te'Ahja Hardwick out in front who scored 18 points. Hardwick has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last three times she's played. Desiree Smith was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Mitchell County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Randolph-Clay, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.
Mitchell County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Quitman County at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Mitchell County is facing Quitman County at the right time seeing as Quitman County is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. Randolph-Clay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
