The Sanford Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Byers Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Sanford never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Dolores last Friday. They breezed by the Bears at home to the tune of 58-8.
Meanwhile, Byers entered their tilt with Front Range Christian with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Byers didn't even let Front Range Christian onto the board and left with a 54-0 victory on Saturday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Byers had established a 38 point advantage.
Kaleb Willoughby was his usual excellent self, rushing for 225 yards and four touchdowns. Willoughby hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for nine straight games. Preston Lagasse was in the mix as well, providing Byers with two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Sanford to 6-3 and Byers to 8-1.
