The Lewis County Minutemen will head out on the road to face off against the Winfield Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lewis County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 122 points over their last three matchups.
Lewis County can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Grafton, posting a 49-14 victory on the road.
Lewis County can attribute much of their success to Drew Cayton, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Owen Acord, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Winfield was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 35-24 victory over Point Pleasant. The win was just what Winfield needed coming off of a 48-27 loss in their prior matchup.
Their wins bumped Lewis County to 6-4 and Winfield to 8-2.
