Fairland has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the South Point Pointers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Fairland's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
Fairland can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They claimed a resounding 96-17 win over Ironton at home. Fairland's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Bree Allen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. She also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Bailey Russell, who scored 22 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, South Point earned a 38-29 win over Rock Hill on Monday.
Fairland pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.63 points. As for South Point, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Everything came up roses for Fairland against South Point when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 71-23 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
