Basketball Recap: San Jacinto Christian Academy Takes a Loss

San Jacinto Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Patriots have suffered since November 21, 2023.

When it comes to explaining why San Jacinto Christian Academy lost, don't look at Benton Myers. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points. Those 12 points gave Myers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Kinser, who posted ten points.

San Jacinto Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Christ the King Cathedral, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.
