The Glencoe Panthers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Mingo Valley Christian by a score of 69-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Mingo Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Isaiah McLemore, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds. McLemore is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 11 games he's played. Gunner Hitchcock was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Glencoe's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Mingo Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glencoe will square off against the Black Bears at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Oklahoma (Pawnee is ranked 303rd, while the Panthers are ranked 309th). As for Mingo Valley Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Regent Prep is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
