In what's become a running theme this season, the Windham Whippets gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They breezed by Killingly at home to the tune of 61-32. Winning may never get old, but Windham sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Windham's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asihja Harris, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hailey Flores, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Windham pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.5 points. As for Killingly, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
Windham will be playing at home against the Whalers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. New London knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Whippets like a good challenge. As for Killingly, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
