After a string of five wins, the South-Doyle Cherokees's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gibbs. South-Doyle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gibbs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Leading Gibbs to victory were Kamen Shown and Zack Turner. Shown scored 21 points along with seven rebounds, while Turner dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists. Jayden Rutherford was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
South-Doyle's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Gibbs, they pushed their record up to 12-15 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
South-Doyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gibbs also has no future games currently scheduled.
