The St. Francis Spartans had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Sterling 49-8 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-8.
Alessio Milivojevic continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 284 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Tyvonn Ransom and his 85 yards on the ground were also a key factor in St. Francis' victory.
St. Francis' victory was their third straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.67 points. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
St. Francis will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Morgan Park at 12:30 p.m. Morgan Park will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
