Blackman waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 37-31 W against the Siegel Stars. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Blaze's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Stars are ranked 89th).

Blackman's record is now 8-1. As for Siegel, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Blackman is set to take on their familiar foe Rockvale on Thursday. Meanwhile, Siegel will challenge rival LaVergne at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
