Ava Martinez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, she turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Martinez and Capital will take on Los Alamos at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Capital has some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2017, but a win here would be a good start.
