Uxbridge has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Northbridge Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northbridge took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Uxbridge, who comes in off a win.
Uxbridge posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 win over Oxford. Given Uxbridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Oxford is ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ethan Mccusker and Colin Spencer were among the main playmakers for Uxbridge as the former scored 13 points and the latter scored 14 points. Aidan Blood was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Northbridge came up short against Tantasqua Regional on Tuesday and fell 59-51. Northbridge has not had much luck with Tantasqua Regional recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Uxbridge's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Northbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Uxbridge came up short against Northbridge in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 41-30. Can Uxbridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
