It was a good run, but the Turpin Cardinals unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Varsity Opponent.
Turpin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryson Parker, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jhett Huffman, who scored 12 points.
Turpin's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Varsity Opponent, their victory bumped their record up to 408-1496-2.
Turpin will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Laverne at 2:30 p.m. on February 15th. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 96-81 victory vs. Newman AAA on the 11th.
